This is the beginning of the spring semester in the northern town, heralding swimming classes, playing with best friends, new courses, and new possibilities. But this year, 14-year-old Sam's situation is different. As her friends continued to move forward, focusing on the boy and trying drugs, Sam was too uncomfortable to even take off his swimsuit in front of the other girls. After falling into trouble, she was forced to work as a cleaner in the nursing home run by her mother. Sam established an unexpected and unlikely friendship with the two residents of the nursing home, and they ultimately taught Sam some things about growth and aging. (2014 Tiff)
