Retired Irish sailor Frank and retired Cuban barber Walter are two lonely elderly people trapped in the emptiness of their own lives. When they meet in the park, Frank can start talking after a few attempts. They began to spend time together and become friends. But due to their different personalities, they often argue and eventually break up after Frank's poor performance against Walter's friend Elaine.
