The violinist of a provincial orchestra in Poland, whose husband is the conductor, established contact with the world-renowned symphony conductor during his visit to the United States. It turns out that he once fell in love with the mother of a violinist. The conductor is a somewhat unstable hypochondriac who returned to Poland to lead the provincial orchestra. He also attempted to use the violinist as her mother's agent to restore the old relationship. Due to personal and professional reasons, her husband has a strong aversion towards the train conductor.
