The British classic comedy is adapted from a story by James Thurber, which tells the story of an elderly accountant from a tweed manufacturer who designs a plan to rescue the company from an acquisition in the United States. The arrival of an efficiency expert from the United States caused enough sensation, but when it turned out to be a woman, the old-fashioned digital arithmetic expert declared war. Angela Barrows, a female businessman who eats men, was sent by her American company to Edinburgh to investigate export opportunities. On the way, she met businessman Robert McPherson, who convinced her to help his company enter the 20th century. Under Mr. Martin's leadership, employees had other ideas, and the struggle between new and old business methods erupted.
