简要：Chandler and Miles attended Buchan's new book press conference on the White Church murder case, troubled by the obscure remarks of a strange old lady, Louise Iver. At the same time, the elderly wanderer Alexander Zukanov was lured into a house with strange markings on the wall, where he was forced to death and named the murderer Dorothy Cade before his death. Miles and Chandler visited Zukanov's Doss home and learned that other residents were afraid of him and regarded him as a warlord. Buchan confirmed that he was a member of the Bulgarian Secret Service, and Stella Knight from MI6 claimed that he was the interrogator of former British spy Crispin Wingfield. 白教堂血案系列4季18集，一般这个长度是美剧1季或日剧2季的体量。尽管第4季剧情走向近乎怪力乱神使得风格偏离惨遭砍剧，但总体仍不失为一套具有极高水准和特色的犯罪推理剧。背景氛围强到整剧一直笼罩着神秘的年代感，线索推进又是正统的英式推理，信息量大到几乎跟着主演们回顾了犯罪史，看起来一气呵成非常过瘾。
我最喜欢的一点是几个主角各有各让人心烦的毛病，高度强迫症又固执保守的探长，老资格又担心失去权威的警长，三个警察一个吊儿郎当不能对情感忠诚，一个是永远阴郁暗恋探长的小受，还有一个爱心泛滥的嬷嬷，以及一个后来加入的收藏癖死宅研究员。就这么几块料组成的团队，尽管参与的都是特大型连环凶杀案，尽管每次都费尽心思一波三折才找出真凶，然而每次都慢了半拍，所有真凶在未接受法律制裁前就全死了，业绩方面没有任何值得夸耀的表现。不得不说这是一群苦逼至极的警务工作者---不用罪犯的弱智来衬托警察的英明而是反其道行之，去英雄化很彻底。
第一二季都是3集篇幅讲模仿犯罪，从大名鼎鼎的开膛手杰克到恶贯满盈的柯雷兄弟，厚重的犯罪史对于…$#
