Just as it comes from the depths of the Stalin regime, 'The Road of Russian Life' is a very optimistic film. Many non professional children are portrayed as street children in Moscow, homeless due to the Bolshevik Revolution. They fell into various dramatic difficulties until they were surrounded by kind and selfless Soviet officials. Children have been transformed (in the best way possible) and become useful members of society. The solution to social problems in "The Road to Life" is too simple, although it is not so compared to common Hollywood products of the same period.
